Description

Braccale is one of the new creations of Jacopo Biondi Santi: a wine that tells of the Maremma but which associates, with a representative grape variety of Tuscany such as Sangiovese, an international grape among the most appreciated for its roundness and softness characteristics: Merlot .

The harvest period varies for the varieties, in mid-September for Merlot, in early October for the Sangiovese clone BBS11 (Brunello Biondi Santi, vine n ° 11). Fermentation proceeds keeping the vines separate; after assembly, the wine ages for 10 months in Tronçais barrique and ages in steel for 6 months and in glass for another 3 months.

Intense ruby red with purple textures, it offers an elegant and complex olfactory background, made of vivid aromas of red fruits which are followed by delicate spicy nuances. In the mouth it convinces by balance between the fullness of Merlot and the finesse of Sangiovese, the exceptional tannins and infinite persistence.

Red wine for roasts and meats in general, it becomes an indispensable complement of ground first courses and very seasoned cheeses.
