Description
The Tuscan Rosso Cacciacone of Tenuta San Giorgio was born in the vineyards located in Montalcino, in the hamlet of Castelnuovo dell'Abate.
It is produced 50% with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, and 50% with Syrah grapes harvested entirely by hand at the beginning of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the aging takes place for 18 months in French oak barrels, and finally for a further 6 - 8 months in bottle.
Cacciacone is characterized by a very intense bright garnet color, with evident violet reflections. The nose is harmonious and well-structured, with hints of small red fruits, such as blackberries and blueberries, enriched with pleasant notes of cocoa and cinnamon. On the palate it gives a persistent and fruity aftertaste.
Perfect to accompany first courses based on meat sauce, ideal in combination with stewed meat and mushroom recipes.
