Description
The Supertuscan Guss from Castello di Radda is born from an original blend of Merlot and Sangiovese, cultivated at an altitude of 450 meters in the municipality of Radda in Chianti. The vineyards are well exposed to the south and rooted in clay-limestone soils with a good presence of stones, ensuring a concentrated and highly expressive raw material.
Following manual harvesting, the grapes are vinified in stainless steel vats with a long maceration of about a month. The malolactic fermentation takes place in tonneaux, 30% of which are new, where the wine matures for about twenty-four months. Further aging in the bottle lasts at least twelve months before it is marketed.
Visually, it is clear and ruby with violet reflections. On the nose, it opens with intense and persistent aromas of ripe red fruits and hints of underbrush. On the palate, it stands out for its imposing yet balanced structure, with a pleasant freshness that enhances its elegance and depth.
It pairs perfectly with red meats, game, or aged cheeses, and is also excellent enjoyed on its own.
