Toscana IGT Leopoldo 2011 Santa Vittoria
Description
Leopoldo wine represents one of the symbols of Fattoria Santa Vittoria.
It is in fact made entirely from Pugnitello grapes, an ancient Tuscan grape variety, found only in 1981. The grapes are harvested manually, with a sorting of phenolic ripeness. After fermentation at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C, the wine is left to evolve for about 12 months in medium toasted French oak barriques, to then refine for another 2 years in the bottle before being marketed.
Leopoldo boasts a very full and clear ruby red color. The nose has aromas of black fruit and flowers. In the mouth it shows a fresh and full wine, very fruity in the aftertaste and with good tannins. A wine of beautiful expression, intensity and finesse.
Perfect with grilled red meats, game and stewed meats.
