Toscana IGT Petit Verdot Filare 41 2017 Casadei

Filare 41 by Casadei is a pure Petit Verdot that originates from medium-textured soils, characterized by a good presence of skeleton and mineral substances.

The grapes are softly pressed and then placed in cement tanks where an 8-10 days pre-fermentative cold maceration takes place. The must ferments spontaneously without further maceration, after which it ages in new French oak barrels for 22 months.

Intense ruby red. It shows strong aromas of plum, berries and violets, with spicy notes. In the mouth it is powerful and concentrated, with thick and well integrated tannins, balanced by a pleasant freshness. Closes on a long and persistent finish.

It goes well with all dishes of Mediterranean cuisine. Excellent with game, red meats and aged cheeses. A true meditation wine.
