Description
What kind of wine it is
Rosato del Poliziano is a rosé wine made from Sangiovese grapes, fresh, delicate and food-friendly in style, with an expressive precision that defines its character.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from vineyards in the locality of Lodola, in the area of Montepulciano, an area that maintains a direct link with the profile of Tuscan Sangiovese.
How it is made
The grapes are harvested by hand in crates, with careful selection of the bunches. This is followed by direct gentle pressing of the destemmed grapes and fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature, designed to preserve the aromatic purity and freshness of the fruit. The wine then ages in steel for a few months, completing the process with a further period of bottle aging.
Tasting notes
In the glass it shows a delicate pale pink colour with bright highlights. On the nose it offers scents of small red fruits, pomegranate, fresh citrus and subtle floral nuances. On the palate it is fresh, balanced and lively, with a pleasant salinity and an elegant finish.
Food pairings
Ideal with light appetizers, raw fish, shellfish, Mediterranean cuisine, gourmet pizzas and delicate first courses.
When to serve it
Serve chilled, at 10-12°C. Perfect as an aperitif or to accompany casual lunches and dinners, especially during the summer season.
