Description
The Toscana Rosso Cabreo Nino di Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari was born in the vineyards of the Tenute del Cabreo, located on the hills of Panzano del Chianti. This wine is dedicated to Giovanni Folonari, called "Nino", Ambrogio's father and Giovanni's grandfather. Thanks to its unique style, this label perfectly expresses the identity of the Folonari family.
It is produced 95% with Sangiovese grapes and 5% with Colorino grapes, harvested between the end of September and the first ten days of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C, with a maceration on the skins for 15-18 days. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 18 months, and for a further 6 months in bottle.
Cabreo Nino is characterized by a bright ruby red color. The nose opens with elegant hints of red fruits, enriched with pleasant notes of black cherry and spicy nuances. On the palate it is round, pleasantly soft and with silky and velvety tannins.
Perfect to accompany roasts and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
