Luca Gardini
Sangiovese-based red with concentrated and juicy fruit. Precise and clean nose with hints of strawberries, red plums, with floral touches of violet and a hint of thyme. Dense and compact to the taste, with full tannins, a nice acid vein that supports the fruit and great drinkability.

Description

Pian del Prete all the potential of the Tuscan grape par excellence, Sangiovese.

This red wine comes from pure Sangiovese grapes, harvested between the last week of September and the first week of October. Once in the cellar, they undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration between 0 and 4 ° C, lasting 4/6 days. This is followed by the process of alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature (maximum 24 ° C) for 10-14 days, to allow the more fruity components to express themselves at their best. The wine then ages for 4 months in French oak barriques.

Ruby in color with violet reflections, the wine opens to the nose with a juicy fruit bouquet of cherries and raspberries, with blood, spice and vanilla notes. The sip is warm and enveloping, with an important tannic structure.

Ideal in combination with first courses seasoned with red meat and game sauces, roasts, soft and aged cheeses.
