Toscana IGT Rosso Tarchun us 2008 Tenuta Pometti

The Toscana Rosso Tarchun us of Tenuta Pometti was born on the Sienese hills, in vineyards located in land with excellent climatic exposure.

It is mainly produced with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and with Petit Verdot and Sangiovese grapes, harvested towards the end of September. Cabernet and Petit Verdot grapes undergo a fermentation and maceration period of about 20 days, while Sangiovese for a shorter period, about 18 days. Before being bottled, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 16-18 months.

Tarchun us is an intense red wine. The nose has rich hints, with notes of ripe red fruits and a spicy finish. In the mouth it is warm, soft, with a good structure. Overall it is a balanced and round wine.

For its body this wine is perfect to accompany red meats, braised meats and game.
