Toscana IGT Stringaio 2018 Fattoria La Torre
Description
The Stringaio della Fattoria La Torre was born from the homonymous vineyard of more than 20 years with an extension of only 2 hectares, located in the municipality of Montecarlo, in the province of Lucca.
The harvest is manual in crates, carried out in September. The grapes are softly pressed and fermented in wooden vats for a period of 7-10 days at a temperature of 28 ° C, followed by maceration of 15 days. The wine is transferred to barrique where it performs malolactic fermentation and ages for 12 months.
Upon visual examination it shows a typically intense ruby red color. The bouquet of aromas on the nose is expressed on notes of cherry, blackberry and vanilla. On the palate it is juicy and fresh, with well integrated tannins.
It goes well with red meats and game dishes, it is an excellent accompaniment to hard and spicy aged cheeses.
