Description

Wine based on Syrah grapes, coming from the corporate cru of Tenuta Casadei, in Suvereto.

The grapes are harvested manually in boxes with careful selection of the bunches, are de-stemmed and slightly crushed before being placed in underground terracotta amphorae where spontaneous fermentation takes place with maceration of about 30 days. At the end of the malolactic fermentation the wine is decanted and placed again in amphora to refine for further 7 months.

Ruby red in color, it expresses itself on the nose with notes of cherry, blackberry, berries and elegant black pepper. Excellent sour shoulder supported by very fine and well blended tannins.

Suitable with game, roast pork and large medium-aged cheeses. Recommended as a meditation wine.
