Description
The Trento Giulio Ferrari 1997 Collection originates from the 12-hectare vineyard of Maso Pianizza surrounded by woods, in the hilly landscape east of Trento, at an altitude of 500-600 meters above sea level. This sparkling wine represents the challenge of time of the Ferrari Cellars, a Trento DOC that does not fear a refinement that has lasted for almost twenty years, an objective that follows the long tradition of producing timeless Classic Method started by its founder.
It is obtained from 100% Chardonnay grapes, harvested with extreme care, bunch by bunch, exclusively in the best vintages. Only in this way is it possible to create a classic method capable of going much further with refinement, more than any other Italian sparkling wine: 19 years on the lees, practically a Guinness Book of Records record.
The Giulio Ferrari 1997 Collection features a straw yellow color wrapped in bright golden reflections. The bouquet is surprising, elegant, complex, intense, with the olfactory framework dominated by a floral note of broom which is enriched with delicate spicy sensations, for a result of extraordinary refinement and persistence. On the palate it is fresh, savory, harmonious, a masterpiece of which the release itself constitutes an absolute rarity, of extreme prestige, produced in only 1997 bottles.
Excellent throughout the meal, it is perfect to combine with haute cuisine dishes based on fish and shellfish.
