Description
The Alta Reserva Malbec by Gimenez Mendez is born in vineyards located in Las Brujas (Canelone). The company is family-run and the oenologist is Mauro Giménez Mendez, the youngest son.
After the harvest and the manual selection of the grapes, the grapes undergo a pre-fermentation maceration of 6 days, followed by fermentation at 18-25 ° C for 12-15 days. Aging takes place in American oak barrels for 8 months.
In the glass the wine has an intense ruby red color. The nose reveals aromas of ripe berries, vanilla, plums and cherries. On the palate it is powerful and persistent, with expressive tannins.
Recommended to accompany red meats, roasted or baked, stuffed pasta and aged cheeses.
