Description
The Ceramic Monastrell is a red wine produced by Bodega Vicente Gandía in Valencia. Made from old Monastrell vines grown under dry farming conditions, it reflects the character of the indigenous grape variety in an intense and territorial expression, enhanced by a particular aging process.
The vinification involves a long maturation period of 11 months in oak barrels, followed by aging in traditional terracotta tinajas. This method combines the aromatic contribution of the wood with the natural micro-oxygenation of the ceramic, offering a structured and harmonious wine without losing its varietal freshness.
In appearance, it presents a deep, intense red color with lively reflections. On the nose, enveloping aromas of ripe plum, licorice, coconut, and vanilla emerge. On the palate, it is broad and robust, with sweet tannins and elegant acidity, accompanying a long finish dominated by very ripe red fruits.
It pairs excellently with grilled red meats, flavorful stews, and aged cheeses.
