Description

VIK A Carménère is a Chilean red wine produced by Viña VIK in the Millahue Valley, within the Cachapoal Valley, a region characterized by granite-origin soils that are deep and well-drained, and by a Mediterranean climate tempered by maritime influence. It is made mainly from Carménère grapes, complemented by small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, expressing an intense, elegant style deeply connected to its terroir.

Vinification is carefully carried out to enhance the varietal purity and structure of the wine. The aging takes place in French oak barrels, helping to develop complexity, harmony, and a refined texture, integrating fruity and spicy notes without overwhelming the overall profile.

In the glass it shows a deep, dark red color with violet and cobalt hues. The nose offers elegant aromas of blackberry, plum, and dark fruits, accompanied by spicy notes, herbal hints, and light toasted sensations; on the palate it is generous, structured, and silky, with fine tannins, balanced acidity, distinctive minerality, and a long, persistent finish.

It pairs well with grilled red meats, herb-crusted lamb, beef stews, aged cheeses, and spicy dishes.
