Valle de Colchagua Carménère Reserva DO 2019 Ventisquero

An absolute masterpiece of assembly, Carménère Reserva Ventisquero is the result of the combination of a small part of Syrah grapes with Carménère grapes that dominate the blend. A pre-fermentation maceration allows to preserve and enhance the aromas, fragrances and color to the maximum. The must is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and is then assembled, not before the wine is aged for 70% in French and American oak barrels for almost a year, and the remainder rests in stainless steel. It rests for a further 6 months in the bottle and is then marketed.

It shines in the glass with its intense ruby red color tending to garnet and heralds a nose full of berries, cherries, raspberries, currants, blueberries and other dark berries. A background of dark chocolate closes in a finish of unmistakable splendor, to give the palate a fruity, full-bodied and balanced experience.

Definitely try it with medium-cooked or rare grilled red meats, with lamb and spiced pork ribs.
