Description
Cabernet Sauvignon is produced by the Chilean company Errazuriz and belongs to the Aconcagua Alto line. The winery was founded in 1870 in the Aconcagua Valley, on the northwestern side of the Andes, less than 30 km from the Pacific Ocean.
The grapes are harvested by hand early in the morning and taken to the cellar, where the vinification takes place in steel tanks which lasts from 8 to 28 days. The wine then ages for 14 months in French oak barrels, 35% of which are new.
In the glass it is ruby in color with violet reflections. It is expressed on the nose with aromas of ripe cherry, cedar, mint, chocolate and spices. The sip is fresh, with finely defined tannins and a long finish.
It goes well with roasted and stewed red meats, game and aged cheeses.
