Description
Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Montaer is produced by the Castelnuovo del Garda winery or Cantina Sociale Veronese del Garda and belongs to the Ca' Vegar line.
It is made up of the classic Venetian grapes, namely Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara, destemmed and pressed. Vinification takes place in thermo-controlled steel tanks for 10 days. The wine then ferments a second time on the Amarone pomace, and then ages for 6 months in 50hl barrels.
Intense ruby red in color, it reveals aromas of ripe fruit, spices and tobacco on the nose. The sip is warm, with balanced tannins and excellent persistence.
The wine goes perfectly with fatty meat dishes, for example with stewed wild boar.
