Venezia Giulia IGT Ribolla 2011 Radikon
Description
The Venezia Giulia Ribolla di Radikon was born in organic vineyards, located in the small hamlet of Oslavia, in the province of Gorizia.
It is obtained exclusively from Ribolla Gialla grapes, harvested only by hand in small boxes in October. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in oak vats, with a long maceration of 3-4 months in contact with the skins. Once the malolactic fermentation is over, the wine remains in oak barrels for 42 months and for a further 24 months in the bottle before being placed on the market.
Ribolla adi Radikon has an orange-yellow color with graceful golden reflections. The nose shows intense aromas of tropical fruit and yellow flowers, enriched with pleasant spicy notes. The taste is mineral and slightly tannic, persistent in the finish.
Ideal wine with dry pastries and feathered game, it goes very well with blue and aged cheeses.
