Description

The vineyards of the Dolomiti Rosso Faye di Pojer and Sandri were born in vineyards located in the well-known locality of Palai, in Faedo, in the province of Trento.

It is mainly produced with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and with Cabernet Franc, Lagrein and Merlot grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration for 15-20 days, in wooden vats. Subsequently the wine ages in small new oak barrels for about 12 months and in bottle for a further 12 months, before being marketed.

Rosso Faye by Pojer and Sandri has an intense red color with evident black-violet reflections. The nose opens with pleasant aromas of berries, raspberry and ripe fruit among which plum and cherry stand out, accompanied by spicy hints of pepper and cinnamon. On the palate it is elegant, dry and rich, with a pleasant tannic component and a persistent finish on licorice notes.

Ideal as a wine for the whole meal, this wine goes well with meat dishes such as roasts, braised and overcooked.
