Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT Rosso MAS'EST 2013 Masi
Description
MAS'EST is produced in the vineyards of the Masi cellars in Pomerolo, in Trentino.
The grapes used for the production of the wine are Marzemino Gentile and Teroldego, classic grapes from the area. After the harvest and selection phase, the grapes are left to dry for a little over a month, like the Amarone tradition. Then, the grapes are separated, the pressing and fermentation are carried out. Finally, the wine is reassembled and left to evolve in barrique for at least six months.
MAS'EST by Masi has an intense purple red color, with a purple nail. The nose offers a fruity aroma of berries and floral violet, with spicy notes of licorice. On the palate it is lively acidity with a soft and pleasant tannin. At the end of the mouth fruity and spicy aromas return.
Ideal with meat and game raù, it goes well with red meats.
