Description
The Vin Santo del Chianti Fedardo di Cosimo Maria Masini is born in vineyards located on the rolling hills of San Minato, an ancient medieval village in the heart of Tuscany, in the province of Pisa, along the route of the Via Francigena, land of wines and white truffles.
It is produced 90% with Trebbiano grapes and 10% with Malvasia Bianca grapes, harvested only by hand during the end of October. The grapes are dried in the vinsantaia for at least 4 months, until the perfect sugar concentration is reached. The must obtained is stored in barrels of various capacities and wood essences. The barrels are sealed and closed, beginning the 5-year aging phase.
It is characterized by a deep and bright amber color. The nose opens with intense aromas of candied fruit and dried figs, enriched with pleasant notes of almonds, hazelnuts and caramel. On the palate it is sweet, perfectly balanced, with a very long persistence.
Perfect to accompany aged cheeses, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
