Vin Santo del Chianti DOC 1997 Tenuta Il Corno
Description
The Vin Santo del Chianti of Tenuta Il Corno is born in vineyards located in the heart of the Val di Pesa, in the cellar built in the XII century by an ancient Florentine family, of Pistoia origin, the Del Corno.
It is produced with Trebbiano, Malvasia and San Colombano grapes, harvested in the first week of September. After a soft pressing, the grapes ferment in wooden barrels at a temperature of 18-20 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages in wooden barrels for 5-7 years before being bottled.
It is characterized by an amber yellow color with golden reflections. The nose opens with hints of apple and dried fruit, enriched with pleasant notes of honey and nuts. On the palate it is sweet and pleasantly enveloping, with a soft and persistent body.
Perfect to accompany dry sweets and pastries, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
