Description

Vin Santo di Montepulciano by Avignonesi is the result of extremely precise care for all details, from the vine to the bottle. It originates in the province of Siena, near the municipality of Valiano di Montepulciano.

It consists of a blend of Trebbiano and Malvasia, of which only the best grapes are selected. Starting from vineyards planted on sedimentary and limestone soils, these grapes are harvested manually with the help of small boxes lined with vine leaves. After a few months of drying on bamboo mats and, after pressing, the must obtained is fermented by a particular centenary indigenous yeast. Vin Santo di Montepulciano ages for 10 years in oak casks.

Amber yellow with a multitude of golden highlights. The perfume is characterized by delicious notes of caramel, chocolate, nutmeg, butter biscuits, candied orange, acacia honey and an aromatic herbaceous tip of thyme, to revive the bouquet. The sip is complex in its aromas, confirming the scent, with excellent structure and creaminess. It persists in a soft yet fresh memory, full of all the gustatory intensity that distinguishes it.

Fantastic to combine with foie gras, it is perfect as a meditation wine.
