Description
The Dealcoholized Red by Franc Lizâr is a non-alcoholic still red wine, produced in Friuli-Venezia Giulia from Merlot grapes. It is the result of traditional winemaking followed by a delicate dealcoholization through selective membrane filtration, which preserves the structure and varietal aromas while maintaining an alcohol content of less than 0.5%.
After fermentation with the skins to extract color and aromatic substances, the wine is refined on fine lees for six months with regular bâtonnage. Subsequently, the alcohol is removed, preserving the wine's integrity, which is then filtered and bottled with extreme clarity. The result is an elegant, aromatic, and structured red with excellent freshness.
Visually, it appears intense ruby red with violet reflections. The nose is broad and deep, with notes of cherry, raspberry, blackberry, and plum, accompanied by spices such as black pepper and nutmeg. On the palate, it is soft and enveloping, with good acidity, hints of red fruit and spices, and a delicate finish of dark chocolate.
Ideal with roasts, stews, ravioli with ragù, or mature cheeses like stravecchio or creamy goat cheese.
