Description

The Volnay Santenots du Milieu Premier Cru is a refined Pinot Noir produced by François Mikulski from two family plots, planted in 1947 and 1976 respectively. Cultivated with non-certified organic practices, the vines are located on a particularly well-suited terrain and offer limited yields.

Vinification takes place in tanks for a period between 15 and 17 days, followed by aging in oak barrels for at least 14 months, about 35% of which are new. This process ensures the wine's structure and longevity, while maintaining the aromatic integrity of the fruit and the expression of the cru.

The aromatic profile is intense and complex, with notes of cherry, blackberry, smoked meat, black pepper, licorice, and hints of tobacco and chocolate. On the palate, it is fresh and dynamic, with an elegance that promises excellent aging potential and a long lingering finish.

Perfect for pairing with cooked red meats or game.
