Description
From the South African company of Wellington, the Diemersfontein, comes the Riserva version of a wine that is a standard bearer both for the cellar itself and for the entire Cape Winelands area.
The harvest takes place manually in the early hours of the morning; only the small berries are selected. The alcoholic fermentation took place in steel tanks, while the malolactic fermentation and the refinement phase took place in barriques, partly French and partly American, for a total period of 16 months.
The color is intense ruby red, with some garnet reflections. It opens to the nose with fruity hints of blueberry, cherry, vanilla, leather and cocoa. In the mouth it has a solid and firm structure, finished by a good sapid trait and embraced by a soft sip. Closes with a long persistence of the fruit.
Ideal in combination with a stewed red meat.
