Description
Porter West Indies is a beer that is part of the Guinness Brewer's Project innovation laboratory, in this case a reinterpretation of the porters enriched in hops for conservative purposes, widespread in the English colonies of the Western Index, reinterpreting a recipe dating back to 1801. rapid in fact, and a reduced maturation, contribute to generating a beer with a fresher finish and a rounder aroma.
Dark ruby red in color and characterized by a rich and compact foam, it offers pleasant aromas of toffee and caramel on the nose, accompanied by delicate notes of chocolate. On the palate it is tasty and complex, expressing a good consistency and a remarkable balance between hints of toasted, almost roasted, licorice and malt.
Excellent in the company of blue cheeses, it goes well with a dark chocolate mousse.
