vermouth

Vermouth is a fortified wine, either white or red, infused with aromatic herbs, including the essential wormwood (or artemisia), which defines its distinctive character. The quality of the final product depends heavily on the base wine, the selection of spices, and a complex, often secret, recipe that requires precise production times. Perfect for aperitifs, vermouth is also a key ingredient in many classic cocktails.
