Brasserie Dubuisson
Brasserie Dubuisson is the oldest brewery in Wallonia: founded in 1769 in Pipaix, Belgium, by Joseph Leroy, a maternal ancestor of current head Hugues Dubuisson, it has been brewing beer in the same place without interruption, through the French Revolution and both World Wars. Today it is in its ninth generation of brewers from the same family. The turning point came in 1931, when Alfred Dubuisson, together with his brother Amédée, decided to devote himself entirely to beer. In 1933, Bush was created, an English-style beer whose name is the translation of "Bière Dubuisson" and whose recipe has remained unchanged for ninety years. Bush was later joined by Bush de Noël, Bush Triple and the versions aged in oak barrels, such as Bush Prestige, Bush de Nuits and Bush de Charmes. Since 2000 Cuvée des Trolls has become the brewery’s flagship beer, followed by Rasta Trolls, Pêche Mel'Bush and Fram'Bush. In 2013, an investment of over 5 million euros doubled production capacity, along with the cultivation of its own hop yard, water recovery systems and solar panels. In 2019, to mark the 250th anniversary, the visitor center and the Beerstorium museum were opened. 100% independent, faithful to natural beers brewed entirely in-house, Brasserie Dubuisson is a benchmark of the Belgian brewing tradition.
