Rosset Terroir
Rosset Terroir is a winery from the Aosta Valley, with its cellar in Quart, born from the Rosset family's decision to plant vineyards on their own land. A young and dynamic venture that expresses Aosta Valley mountain viticulture with a focus on terroir and on showcasing native grape varieties.
Everything began in 2001 in the hamlet of Senin, in Saint-Christophe, with an initial plot of about 3 hectares planted to Chardonnay, Syrah and the native variety Cornalin; Petit Rouge was later added, selected by the estate’s agronomist and oenologist Matteo Moretto. Over time, the estate expanded to Chambave, with 2 hectares of Moscato Bianco, and to Villeneuve, with 2 hectares at over 900 meters above sea level dedicated to Petite Arvine and Pinot Gris.
Annual production is around 50,000 bottles. The range includes the whites Vallée d'Aoste DOP Prémisse, Chambave Muscat, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Petite Arvine, the reds Trasor, Cornalin, Syrah, Pinot Noir and Nebbiolo, as well as the high-altitude white Sopraquota 900. The estate also grows raspberries, génépy and saffron for liqueur production.
Mountain vineyards, indigenous varieties and artisanal care make Rosset Terroir one of the most compelling voices in Aosta Valley wine.
