Woodford Reserve
Woodford Reserve is a bourbon whiskey produced in Versailles, Kentucky, at a distillery recognized as a National Historic Landmark and nestled among thoroughbred horse farms—one of the few places in the state where bourbon and horses thrive side by side. It is here, according to the distillery, that the art of making quality bourbon began in 1812.
Woodford Reserve’s character is born from what the house calls the five sources of flavor: grain, water, fermentation, distillation, and maturation. The mash bill is 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley, while the water comes directly from the estate, naturally filtered through limestone, iron-free and rich in minerals. The whiskey is crafted by marrying distillates produced in both pot stills and column stills.
Production is now led by Elizabeth McCall, with the company since 2009 and appointed Master Distiller in 2023, who succeeded Chris Morris, active in the world of bourbon since 1976 and now Master Distiller Emeritus.
The range includes the classic Bourbon Whiskey, Double Oaked, Rye, Malt, and Wheat, as well as the Batch Proof, Personal Selection, Distillery Series, and Master's Collection editions, and commemorative bottles dedicated to the Kentucky Derby.
Tradition, artisanal precision, and the allure of Kentucky come together in every glass of Woodford Reserve.
