Monsanto Castle

When the Bianchi family arrived for the first time in Monsanto, it was immediately enraptured by the beauty of the panoramas that can be enjoyed from the top of the Poggio, where from its 310 meters of galestro, you can appreciate a view that sweeps from the towers of San Gimignano on the slopes of the Chianti Fiorentino, from Monte Amiata to the peaks of the Apuan Alps.

The awareness of walking on a treasure has accompanied Fabrizio Bianchi since the beginning of his adventure, while his Piedmontese culture and passion for Burgundy provided him with the tools to understand the potential of that vineyard to produce a wine of great longevity, rich in vibrant tannins and precious minerals. Thus was born for the first time the idea of making a Cru in the Chianti Classico . It was 1962.

This year, with the release of the Chianti Classico Riserva il Poggio 2012, 50 years of this extraordinary label are celebrated , which has made the history of the denomination.
