Description

The Chardonnay La Petite Montagne by Pierre Girardin is produced from a single 0.6 ha plot located at 450 m altitude in the village of Vincelles, in the Côtes du Jura area. The vines, over 80 years old, include 40% ungrafted vines and are cultivated according to organic practices on a terroir rich in clay and limestone, reminiscent of the typical minerality of Puligny.

Vinification is carried out with indigenous yeasts and fermentation in oak barrels, 50% of which are new. Aging continues in the same barrels and the wine is bottled without fining or filtration, preserving its natural and territorial characteristics intact.

On the nose, it expresses elegance through hints of flint, citrus, and light boisé notes. On the palate, it is vibrant and layered, with a pronounced minerality, a fine texture, and a balance between acidity and depth that prolongs its gustatory persistence.

It pairs elegantly with grilled fish dishes or grilled white meats.
